Meet the Team
Michele Neylon
Michele is co-founder and CEO of Blacknight. Actively involved in Internet policy development, he is currently a member of the EUrid Registrar Advisory Board, the Names and Numbers Steering committee of eco, as well as the .ie domain registry’s Policy Advisory Committee and the usTLD Stakeholder Council. He previously served as chair of i2Coalition and was a member of ICANN’s GNSO Council as a representative of domain registrars. Michele received the Irish Internet Association Net Visionary Award in 2013 and was named one of Ireland’s 30 Technology Disruptors at The Spiders Awards in 2019.
Paul Kelly
Paul is the chief technology officer and Co-Founder of Blacknight. He has a deep rooted interest in hosting and technology, especially what's on the cutting edge. From day to day he likes to dream up new products as well as ways to reinvent products and services.
Caroline Kelly
Caroline Kelly is our Finance Manager and is a Fellow of the accounting body ACCA. She also has an honours Business degree from Dublin City University. In a nutshell, Caroline looks after all money coming into and going out of Blacknight. Caroline is married with three children and enjoys spending time with her family, reading, running and fitness training.
Leona Glover
Office and HR Manager
Leona is a native of Carlow from a business family, and is married with two daughters. She studied computer networking and worked in a variety of accounts and administration roles before joining Blacknight in 2006. As HR Manager she has played a central role in the growth and development of the company from a handful of employees to almost 50. Leona manages the Blacknight office and keeps everything running smoothly.
Tony Doherty
Technical Manager
Tony (MSCSE CCNA) has worked in the IT industry for over 20 years, primarily in the reseller sector both as a Senior Systems Engineer and Technical Manager. He has extensive experience in the implementation and management of various sized IT projects and currently manages the technical team in Blacknight. Tony has been with Blacknight since 2011. When not working, he can be seen "rocking out" with different bands around the watering holes of Kilkenny.
Alan O'Reilly
Customer Experience Manager
Alan leads customer service across all departments and channels, working to increase customer satisfaction, loyalty and advocacy. Alan has worked in many different sectors of the I.T industry for over 10 years ranging from large Multi Nationals to Indigenous SME firms before joining Blacknight in July of 2011. Outside of Work Alan's main passion is the weather, he has his own professional weather station which provides local weather information.
Niall Kirby
Software Development Manager /
Niall leads the development team at Blacknight, responsible for developing and maintaining internal software such as our domain registrar system and integrating with third-party systems. Brought up in County Clare, he went to college in Carlow and worked in IT for over 10 years before joining Blacknight in 2014. He also codes in his spare time and flies remote-controlled model helicopters.
Roger Brennan
Originally from Dublin, Roger moved to Carlow in 1995 and worked in sales and account management in a range of industries including IT, leisure management, financial services and fast-moving consumer goods. He ran his own business for eight years and he has a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Roger is a big sports fan and enjoys travelling.
