WordPress hosting has come to Blacknight. WordPress hosting is different from regular web hosting in that the servers are optimised to host just WordPress websites, so they work faster, installations are easier to maintain, and your WordPress sites are more secure. On a dedicated WordPress hosting server, there are only other WordPress websites, so the server is optimised for it. This controlled WordPress-only environment is fast, secure, and easy to use.

Tell us your requirements, and we'll put a suitable package together for you
A shared web hosting account provides an allocation of the resources of a physical server depending on the customer’s needs. There are four factors to consider when choosing a shared web hosting package.
Number of websites: This is the number of different websites that can be hosted on a single shared web hosting package and ranges from 1 website on a Mega package, to 5 on Giga packages, and 15 on Tera packages.
Disk Space: Websites take up disk space – especially when there are images. It’s important to gauge how much space you need. Mega packages have 30GB of space – which is perfect for most websites. Giga packages have 100GB, and Tera packages have unlimited disk space. Hosting disk space does not include your email mailbox disk space.
Monthly Transfer: This is the amount of data in gigabytes which can be transferred to and from your hosting account per month. It is sometimes called ‘bandwidth’. All our hosting packages now have unlimited bandwidth.
Number of Mailboxes: This is the number of email accounts supported by the hosting account, ranging from 5 mailboxes on Mega hosting plans, to 10 mailboxes on Giga hosting plans, and unlimited mailboxes on Tera hosting plans. Mailbox size is separate from your web disk space and limited to 1GB, but upgrades are available.
Vhost Limit: The Vhost limit is the maximum number of active connections to your website at any one moment. A user’s web browser can make multiple connections to your website in order to load your webpage. The number of connections vary in different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, IE, Opera etc). A single webpage generally consists of a HTML file, CSS & JavaScript files, background images, logos, banners other images, audio and video files. All these files need to be loaded for your website to render in a user’s browser when they visit your website. Caching can greatly reduce the number of connections. For example if your website is on our WordPress hosting plan, ‘AccelerateWP’ is included. This feature dramatically improves the performance of a busy WordPress site which allows more users to access the website at the same.
If you expect your website to be busy, a high Vhost limit is good. If for example you expect to be on the Dragon’s Den, presenting at a conference or demoing your product to a group of people for your business, then it’s a good idea to think ahead and choose a plan that can handle the increased website traffic and load when required. There’s nothing worse than people not being able to access your website at a crucial time. We’ve all experienced a website crashing at a critical time, so plan ahead, chat to our team if you expect a spike in traffic. If you website is built using WordPress make sure to check out our WordPress hosting option which is fully optimised to ensure your WordPress site is stable, fast and efficient.
Web Hosting Plan Limits: Mega: 50 | Giga: 100 | Tera: 150 | WordPress: 150
We offer only Linux hosting on our entry-level web hosting plans. It’s ideal for PHP-based platforms such as WordPress which powers almost half the web.
If your website requires ASP or ASP.net support you will need to choose Windows. Windows is fully supported on our VPS cloud server plans as well as on dedicated servers.
Yes, you can protect your website and online data with automated, secure basckups from as little as €1.99 per month with siteBackup.
